End of Life

"I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith. From now on the crown of righteousness awaits me, which the Lord, the just judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me,
but to all who have longed for his appearance."  -2 Timothy 4: 7-8

Dealing with the death of a loved one is never easy and we are here to help you. Our spiritual library has books and brochures to offer guidance and support.  If you are suffering please reach out to one of the priests and let them know how you are feeling.

Some ways to help you cope are: talking with someone, support groups, keeping a journal, taking care of yourself by eating properly and getting exercise, helping others and praying.

Remember to give yourself time to grieve.

Together, St. Joseph and St. Mary Parishes host GriefShare, a 13 week grief recovery support group. A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.

GriefShare meets Thursdays from 6:30 - 8:00 PM in the Upper Room at St. Joseph Church
